Painting Northwest Color & Light

What to bring:

Portable easel:
French Easel or easel of your choice.

Colors: 

Please feel free to bring whatever colors you are comfortable working with. The following is a list of colors I currently use on my palette. 
Titanium White
Titanium Buff
Cadmium Yellow Light
Cadmium Yellow Deep
Cadmium Lemon

Cadmium Orange
Cadmium Orange Deep
Cadmium Red Light
​Cadmium Red Deep
Alizarin Crimson
Manganese Violet
​Ultramarine Blue
Cerulean Blue Hue
Pthalo Green
Burnt Sienna
Chromatic Black
Portland Grey Light (Gamblin)
Yellow Ochre 
Brushes:
Any high quality brush will do, but I recommend Robert Simmons Signet flat, round or bright bristle, sizes 2-8 for smaller work, larger sizes as suits your needs. Please, don’t bring worn out brushes.


Palette Knife:
A good palette knife for cleaning palette and painting needs.


Palette:
Bring whatever palette suits you... just make sure you have a large enough mixing space to meet your needs.

Paint thinner, VIVA paper towels, plastic grocery bags, 1-2 squeeze clamps for securing various items to your easel.


Canvas boards:
6x8s, 8x10s, 9x12s We will be working on many small starts.

Additional canvases:
Nothing larger than 16x20, please, unless you are very experienced.
​

Gallery Hours:
Gallery CLOSED, will reopen for Paint the Peninsula, August 19th 9am-8pm daily. 
Art Park: Dawn to dusk 7 days a week.
