The video "Impressionism at the Musee d'Orssay", Paris will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd, Port Angeles, WA.
Michael Calvin Mills, Instructor of English and Art, Tidepools Magazine Faculty Advisor, Peninsula College: “The Last of the Pretty Pictures: Impressionism and the Art of Rebellion.” An introductory talk with slides will focus on the early impressionist works in Europe and how and why they were created.

Marina Shipova, Instructor of Multimedia and Art: “Russian Impressionism. Hidden Treasures.” Although Impressionism’s roots are buried in France, it has inspired artists all around the world. This presentation with slides will uncover the chapter in Russia’s cultural history that has been long overlooked and hidden in mostly unknown works of art.
